Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing nearly seven months after her abduction in Tucson, Arizona — and crime reporter Brian Entin revealed what he thinks may finally solve the case.
In an August 28 interview with Us Weekly, Entin, a senior national correspondent for NewsNation, shared behind-the-scenes insight into the investigation.
“I really still feel that there’s going to be a resolution and that [detectives are] going to solve it,” he shared. “I just know through my sources how many people are working behind the scenes. With other cases that go cold, they might have one detective that looks into it every once in a while, or they say it’s technically still open. With this case, there’s a dedicated task force.”
Regarding the 84-year-old’s case, Entin explained there are “still FBI agents and detectives whose entire full-time job is just the Nancy Guthrie case every single day, and they all meet together every single day.”

“I also have faith in the DNA,” Entin added. “I’ve learned a lot about how much that technology is changing, and just other parts of science. There are advances every single week. They’re able to do things they weren’t able to do not that long ago with DNA testing. I’m hopeful that eventually there’ll be a break on that front.”
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on the evening of January 31. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department launched a search on February 1, after Nancy’s family reported her missing. Since then, the FBI has released chilling images of a masked man on the front porch of her home. Investigators have also published alleged ransom notes.
Unfortunately, no suspect has been named in Nancy’s disappearance — despite Savannah offering $1 million, in addition to other reward money, in exchange for information leading to an arrest.

I sent important information about his mother's case to Lt. Colonel Guthrie to the Air Force National Guard. Also I sent the same personal information to the C.E.O. Unsolved Open Cases, to C.I.A. And The White House. Exists a manipulated situation in San Diego County and Pima County in Tucson Arizona, as territory (WIKIPEDIA) The Narco Terrorist Mexican Illegal Group, that are members the serial kidnappers and assassins of Mrs. Guthrie. Also I left 5 messages to Savannah Guthrie by phone at TODAY. Please look for it. Blessings!

I think if they just go quiet the perpetrator will come crawling out of the woodwork....they won't find her body any where near where she lived....look to Vegas and a rental car.

What a waste of manpower and time. Please end this. She is not the only missing person in America.?

This is a sad comment and one that never should have been made. There are plenty of missing people who deserve attention and awareness as well. However, the fact that people are talking about Nancy Guthrie does not mean they are ignoring or dismissing others who are missing.
Instead of criticizing the efforts being made to find one missing person, consider helping, volunteering, sharing information, or raising awareness about other missing individuals. Every missing person matters, and every family deserves support.
At the end of the day, Nancy Guthrie is someone's mother, sister, friend, and loved one. She does not deserve to be reduced to a comment about wasted time. Her family is undoubtedly searching for answers and hoping for her safe return, just as any family would. Compassion costs nothing, and there is room to care about Nancy while also advocating for other missing people.
