CBS will be kicking off its 2026-2027 season with premiere week in October. The network has announced its fall 2026 premiere dates.

It all begins with Survivor on September 23, then The Amazing Race on September 30. Then, Marshals and Tracker lead off premiere week on October 4 (after an NFL double-header and 60 Minutes). FBI and CIA, shifted up an hour from last season and joined by Harlan Coben’s Final Twist, premiere on October 5.

The network’s all NCIS night, with new series New York starring LL Cool J as his LA character Sam Hanna and Scott Caan in a new role (even though his Hawaii Five-0 character crossed over with that spinoff), debuts October 6, between the 24th season premiere of the mothership and the third of the prequel Origins. Michael Weatherly returns to NCIS for a season-long arc (that, based on table read photos, starts in the premiere), while Mark Harmon will be in all 10 episodes of NCIS: Origins for a present-day story involving Gibbs.

While Ghosts is going to be a midseason show, there will be two, two-episode holiday specials, the Halloween one on Thursday, October 29, and Ghostsmas on December 10, both airing at 9/8c.

In addition to Ghosts, CBS is holding the following shows for the midseason: the new Einstein and the returning Matlock and NCIS: Sydney. The network is also developing a new detective drama, Flint, starring Matt LeBlanc, for the 2027- 2028 season.

I will be limiting the amount of time I spend watching anything from CBS other than a few shows that I've been watching for many years The fact that they are willing to align to political pressure, has a lot to do with my opinion.
