‘Fire Country’ Boss Says Jared Padalecki’s Camden & Bode Are ‘Twin Flames’

Talent recognizes talent. Such is the case when it comes to the new character of Camden, played by Jared Padalecki, joining Fire Country Season 3.
Padalecki is set for a three-episode arc as a SoCal firefighter and maverick with a surfer swagger who is a force to be reckoned with and immediately recognizes Bode’s (Max Thieriot) raw talent. “We’re so excited,” executive producer Tia Napolitano tells TV Insider. “The part was written for Jared, very specifically. Jared and Max are buddies, so that helped.”
Season 2 ended with Bode out—he got time off his sentence, which he was serving at Three Rock fire camp, for saving his father Vince (Billy Burke)—and trying to figure out what’s next for him. He knows he wants it to include firefighting; he went to his uncle, Luke (Michael Trucco), at the end of the finale and asked him to pull strings to make that happen. It sounds like Camden could be part of his journey back to that.
“Everyone in Bode’s life before Camden hits the scene is sort of trying to tame a tiger when it comes to Bode to make sure he works the program so he can get out,” Napolitano previews. “Camden is more Bode than anyone else on our show. I think they’re twin flames and similar and Camden’s able to encourage, draw out maybe the dangerous side of Bode, but he sees the talent and leans into it. He doesn’t try to put lightning back into the bottle.”
What does that mean for the others who are trying to “tame” Bode since Camden’s stoking the flames?
“It’s an interesting space where people have their opinions about how Bode should go about firefighting, but again, he’s not incarcerated anymore, so how much say does anybody really have over a grown man pursuing what he wants to pursue?” points out Napolitano. “So we’ll have to see.”

I'm really glad to see Jared Padelecki on prime time TV. Looking forward to seeing the show. I never watched the program but I will now.

I am so excited for Padalecki to be added to Fire Country!! He will bring a lot to the series. I think the chemistry between him and Max be dynamite!!! Jared’s experience, charisma and ability to draw people in will be an outstanding asset to the show.

Totally AWESOME!! Sign me up. Have watched from the very first episode and now have more reason to watch. Max and Jared together should be the bomb on Friday nights. Just PLEASE try to keep Jared around longer than 3 episodes. He would be a great addition to the already outstanding cast.

Jared is awesome and I would love to see him in a regular or recurring role. The show is already good and this would make it even better.

yes plssss! u cant just have our big moose in just 3 eps. he's just way 2 good an actor ❤ supernatural didnt last 15 seasons for no reason. yes both him nd Jensen r incredible actors, nd 2gether made lightning in a bottle! but after walker got cancelled, imo shld have never been it was an awesome show 2. but cant wait 2 c what he brings 2 fire country!🥰🥰❤😘

I don't watch shows for actors & don't know who Jared is, but I'm sure he'll be fine. Tbh, I was disappointed in season 2 because there was so little Bode and his journey. We had Gen's, Gabriela's, Eve's, Vic's health issues, Manny's, Liam from way back in Sharon's life, Cara's death, and now Gen's biological dad. It's starting to feel like Peyton Place with storylines that are all superficial. Not enough focus on the MAIN character for me--but maybe Bode isn't the main character.

Big fan of Max and Fire Country. Thought Jared was ok on Supernatural. I grew to really dislike his acting when he went onto star on Walker. I DON'T want him to get a recurring role on Fire Country cause I love all the characters and the actors on the show.
