‘This is Us’ Favorite Joins ’24: Legacy’ as Series Regular

Gerald McRaney has joined 24: Legacy as a series regular, TV Insider has learned.

McRaney—who plays fan-favorite Dr. K on the NBC smash This is Us, and has previously appeared on Jericho and House of Cards—will play oil man Henry Donovan, the father of John Donovan (Jimmy Smits). With John’s presidential campaign playing a key part of the day, Henry is “dedicated to putting his son in the White House, no matter what the obstacles.”

24: Legacy follows Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins), a war hero who discovers unexpected loose ends from a past mission could have unexpected consequences in the present day. The series also co-stars Miranda Otto, Dan Bucatinsky, Teddy Sears, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Peña and Sheila Vand.
