Bryan Cranston ‘Hands-On’ in New ‘Sneaky Pete’ Role

Bryan Cranston plays vengeful gambling boss managing some of the best sportsbooks for US players, Vince, on Sneaky Pete, Amazon’s new crime drama (January 13) about a con man named Marius who assumes the identity of his former cellmate, Pete, to hide from Vince.

Acting is not the only job Cranston has on the show. The six-time Emmy winner is a “hands-on” executive producer, showrunner Graham Yost says, and he directs Episode 8.

“There are big things involving his character, so he got to direct himself,” Yost says. “It was fun for the others to get directed by him. Not every actor is a great director, but he is.”
