TikTok is making TV. The popular video platform is debuting an original sketch comedy series titled Stapleview. The series will air weekly on TikTok’s live platform with its own dedicated channel and subsequent distribution.

Created and executive produced by Sam Grey (Sacramento, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot), Stapleview is described as “a modern take on sketch comedy and variety show formats featuring a collection of popular individual content creators,” per Deadline.

Popular TikTok content creators Dylan Adler, Sydney Battle, Sarah Coffey, Gray Fagan, DaMya Gurley, Grace Reiter, and Jane Wickline make up the Stapleview cast. Collectively, they have over 7 million followers.

The series will air live in multi-camera format on TikTok starting Thursday, March 3. It will include sketches, segments, musical bits, and more. Each episode will run between 40 minutes to an hour.

“Our artists and writers are a talented and nimble bunch, and we are excited to come together to blaze trails as the first comedy sketch show on TikTok,” Grey said in a statement. “I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the reigning leaders in comedy, and I believe that TikTok has provided, singlehandedly, the most authentic platform to experience entertainment content. With the launch of Stapleview, I hope we can shepherd a new renaissance for the sketch comedy and variety show artform.”

Stoney Sharp (Comedy Bang! Bang!, Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America) is also executive producing. Reggie Henke (I Think You Should Leave with Tim RobinsonThe Eric Andre Show) is the head writer and producer. Jolie Darrow, Carl Fieler, and Virginia Mellin are also producing.

Grey was previously a manager and producer at Management 360 and for Lorne Michaels‘ Broadway Video (Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Kenan, Shrill, Los Espookys). He is the son of the late comedy manager/CEO of Paramount Pictures Brad Grey.
