‘Dear’: Sneak Peek at Letter to Sandra Oh in Season 2 (VIDEO)

Apple TV+’s inspiring series Dear… returns on March 4 for its second season spotlighting internationally recognized leaders, entertainers, and athletes and how they have shaped culture and society through intimate letters from their fans. TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek at Sandra Oh’s (Killing Eve) episode and one of those letters.

“I couldn’t be more thankful for your support, your advocacy, your brilliance and your continued shattering of stereotypes both onscreen and off. It’s made it safer for me to be who I am and for all of us to be proud of who we are, that we are woven deeply into the fabric of this nation,” Oh and the letter’s writer read. Watch the clip above for more from the letter and to see Oh’s reaction to it.

The unscripted series comes from Emmy and Peabody Award-winner R.J. Cutler. Through those letters, each influential figure learns how they have unknowingly impacted others and gains new insight into the unique contribution their work makes to the global community. In addition to Oh, Season 2 spotlights the late André Leon Talley, Viola Davis, Malala Yousafzai, Jane Fonda, Ava DuVernay, Billy Porter, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Laird Hamilton. Season 1 included Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Steinem, Spike Lee, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Yara Shahidi, Stevie Wonder, Aly Raisman, Misty Copeland, and Big Bird.

Joining Cutler as executive producers are Jane Cha Cutler, Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, and Donny Jackson. Matador Content, a Boat Rocker Company, produces the series for Apple.
