‘Wheel of Fortune’: Watch Pat Sajak’s Stunned Reaction After $100,000 Three-Peat (VIDEO)
Just a day after Wheel of Fortune made history by awarding the $100,00 bonus round prize two nights in a row, it has happened again, as Wednesday saw another lucky contestant make it a three-peat.
At the top of Wednesday’s episode, longtime host Pat Sajak joked with the contestants, saying, “Yesterday we gave away $100,000 in the Bonus Round. So because of budgetary considerations, rather than cash, we’re playing for luncheon meats tonight.”
Well, contestant Bree Yokouchi certainly won a meaty prize, but it wasn’t sandwich fillings. After making it to the Bonus Wheel, the elementary school teacher from Portland, Oregon, solved the puzzle and became the third person in a row to snatch the $100,000, adding to her in-game winnings of $21,638, as well as a trip to St. Lucia.
Sajak couldn’t believe what he was seeing and humorously walked off the set after unveiling the prize envelope’s contents. “I’m outta here,” he muttered to himself. “That’s it. I’m through.”
WHAT?! 🤯 Another historic night! Bree is our 🎉🎉🎉 THIRD $100,000 WINNER IN A ROW! Breaking News: Wheel of Fortune is running out of confetti! 🎉🎉🎉 @KATUNews pic.twitter.com/WSAoBmhi8r

“I was just excited to be here this morning,” Yokouchi said in a statement. “But to be the third $100,000 winner in a row is just amazing!”
Yokouchi’s victory comes after contestants Lisa Kramer and Mark Baer took home the big prize on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. It’s the first time in over 40 years and 39 seasons that the show has seen consecutive $100k winners. In January, Ilene Knebel became the first contestant this season to win the huge bonus.
Speaking with his daughter, Maggie, after the show, Sajak said he was “running out of words to describe my reactions,” adding, “stunned, surprised, I don’t know, it’s all inadequate.”
WOW! So, history was made on @WheelOfFortune tonight…AGAIN!!!😱🎉💰 Let’s see what @PatOnWheel thinks about this pic.twitter.com/fREpJNkbzH

As for whether there could be a fourth consecutive $100k winner, Sajak told his daughter, “That would be ridiculous. That would be virtually impossible.” Only time will tell!
Check out some of the fan reaction to Yokouchi’s victory below.
24 spaces, 1 $100,000 prize. So any player has a 1/24 shot of landing on it. It happening twice in a row is 1/576. It happening three times in a row is 1/13,824. Amazing that this happened. Will we see it happen again tomorrow, where the chance would be 1/331,776?
