It has taken over 40 years and 39 seasons, but for the first time in the history of Wheel of Fortune, two contestants have taken home the $100,000 grand prize on consecutive nights.

“There’s always something new around here, isn’t there? That’s incredible,” said host Pat Sajak on Tuesday’s episode after contestant Mark Baer snagged the $100,000 bonus prize. This came just a day after contestant Lisa Kramer walked away with the $100,000 bonus, a rare feat on the long-running game show.

Sajak alluded to the possibility of back-to-back $100k winners earlier in the show, telling the contestants, “On yesterday’s show, we gave $100,000 in the Bonus Round. I checked the rules. It can happen two days in a row. Nothing says you can’t do that.”

Baer just so happened to be that lucky contestant, ultimately leaving the show with a total of $126,550 in winnings. “It’s never happened,” a surprised Sajak said as he revealed the contents of the prize envelope. “And wouldn’t you know it, I just sold all my confetti stock.”

Speaking after the show, Baer, a software engineer from Burbank, California, said, “I was just hoping to not make a fool out of myself! This is amazing!” He also revealed that he and his wife recently bought land in wine country and will use his winnings to invest more in the property.

“I’d like to start building a ranch and small vineyard in wine country,” he explained. “It’s a retirement project.”

Baer and Kramer are the second and third $100,000 grand prize winners of Wheel of Fortune’s 39th season. Last month, Ilene Knebel became the first contestant this season to take home the huge bonus prize.
