Josh Holloway is returning to TV — and reuniting with his old Lost boss Carlton Cuse. USA Network has ordered 10 episodes of Colony, about a family attempting to survive in a futuristic authoritarian society.

The Walking Dead‘s Sarah Wayne Callies also stars on the show. Colony is set in near-future Los Angeles, “which exists in a state of occupation by a force of outside intruders. Some people choose to collaborate with the authorities and benefit from the new order, while others rebel and suffer the consequences.”

Cuse will executive produce Colony with Ryan Condal (Hercules). Legendary Television and Universal Cable Prods. are the studios.

“Carlton and Ryan have created an intriguing ride that uniquely provides a humanistic take on a story set in the near future,” said Chris McCumber, President, USA Network. “Josh and Sarah have incredible on-screen chemistry and brilliantly play a couple making tough choices to protect their family in an uncertain world.”

Cuse has become one of the busiest producers in television. He’s also behind A&E’s Bates Motel, FX’s The Strain and A&E’s upcoming adaptation of French hit drama The Returned. Holloway was last seen on CBS’ short-lived Intelligence, but most audiences still remember him as Lost‘s fan favorite con-man character Sawyer.
