If You Like ‘Supernatural,’ Watch ‘Lucifer’! Plus, More TV Substitutes

On The CW’s 2005–20 cult hit, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki raise hell as Sam and Dean Winchester, demon-hunting brothers who basically save the world with the help of a deadpan angel (Misha Collins) and wickedly cool guest stars including Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Seasons 1–15 available

Angels and demons also rule on this devilish drama about Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis, above), aka Satan himself, who trades Hell for Earth. The upcoming episodes find him facing his heavenly father (Dennis Haysbert as God!). Seasons 1–5B available
IF YOU LIKE: Ozark
Marty and Wendy Byrde (Jason Bateman and Laura Linney) seem like a typical middle-class couple with a modest house and two kids. Marty (and later Wendy) also happens to launder money for a drug cartel. Do the Byrdes go clean? Or go all in? That dilemma eventually plagues the pair. Seasons 1–3 available

Shady business dealings, an FBI agent (Martin Freeman) on the hunt and a gang leader out for money. It’s all here on Crackle’s 2016–18 thriller, which just dropped on Netflix. Adam Brody plays a Miami financier who stashes ill-gotten cash in a new digital currency company. Seasons 1–3 available
IF YOU LIKE: Unbelievable
The acclaimed eight-part series from 2019 (TV Guide Magazine senior critic Matt Roush called it “as gripping as a page turner”) stars Toni Collette and Merritt Wever as two very different cops who team up to solve a series of sexual assaults that date back many years. Season 1 available
WATCH: I Am All Girls
Though it’s a movie, not a series, I Am All Girls features a fierce female protagonist, investigator Jodie Snyman (Erica Wessels), as she aims to bring down an international human-trafficking ring. The thing is, there’s a killer on the loose who’s targeting the traffickers too. Available now
