11 'Outlander' Episodes to Stream on Netflix in May (PHOTOS)
"Sassenach" (Season 1, Episode 1)
You can't start a show without watching the first episode, and Season 1's "Sassenach" serves as the first chapter to our series. Follow 1940s Claire Randall as she stumbles through space and time at the standing stones of Craigh Na Dun to the 1780s where she meets highlander and future love Jamie Fraser.
"The Garrison Commander" (Season 1, Episode 6)
In this episode, Claire comes face to face with series villain Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) who reveals some information about Jaime's backstory. Claire quickly learns that darkness is inherent in this relative of her husband who looks exactly like him but remains in the 1940s.
"The Wedding" (Season 1, Episode 7)
Undoubtedly one of the steamiest episodes of the show, this installment created a bit of a reputation for the period romance. As the title implies the entry includes Jamie and Claire's wedding which wasn't initially wanted by her.
"Both Sides Now" (Season 1, Episode 8)
Claire enjoys married life with Jamie, but when an opportunity to return to her own time arises, will she take it?
"The Devil's Mark" (Season 1, Episode 9)
When Claire finds herself on trial she's forced to face her reality and shares some important information with Jamie.
"Wentworth Prison" (Season 1, Episode 15)
In this penultimate episode from the first season, we learn just how dark and disturbing Black Jack Randall is as a person and the lengths that Jamie will go in order to save his wife from harm.
"Not in Scotland Anymore" (Season 2, Episode 2)
In Season 2, the Frasers start anew in Paris and this episode features an entertaining trip to Versailles along with some gorgeous fashion.
"Untimely Resurrection" (Season 2, Episode 5)
In this episode, Jamie and Claire are forced to face the one enemy they thought they'd never see again and matters aren't made any easier with a pregnant Claire in the mix.
"Faith" (Season 2, Episode 7)
Jamie and Claire have their good times and with them, inevitably the bad ones too. In this episode, the couple are challenged with a reality that they couldn't have fathomed, can their relationship survive?
"Vengeance Is Mine" (Season 2, Episode 11)
It's always fun to see some justice served, and that's exactly what happens in this installment that includes some rolling heads...
"Dragonfly in Amber" (Season 2, Episode 13)
Unlike any episodes prior, this chapter in Season 2 includes alternating storylines in two different times — Claire and Jamie's in the 1780s and Claire's in the [spoiler] 1960s. The episode also marks an important turning point with the introduction of Roger (Richard Rankin), and Jamie and Claire's daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton).
This is not a drill... Outlander is coming to Netflix! Starz's popular time-traveling drama will make its Netflix debut in America this May.
Sadly, only Seasons 1 and 2 will be available to stream, but hopefully Seasons 3 and 4 aren't far behind. The addition will allow those without Starz to view the popular series through their Netflix subscription, and in case you're new to the show, we're rounding up some of the must-see episodes from the first two seasons (even though all episodes are a must-watch.)
From Arya and Jon in the 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 premiere to Jamie and Claire in 'Outlander' Season 3.
Above, click through the gallery for a look at 11 must-see episodes from the first two seasons, and beware of possible spoilers if you've yet to catch the early years of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) epic romance.
