‘Irish Blood’ First Look: See Alicia Silverstone’s Season 2 Crime-Solving Adventure (PHOTOS)

Top o’ the mourning! Death is once again coming to the Emerald Isle now that Season 2 of Acorn TV’s crackerjack mystery Irish Blood is in production in Ireland. And TV Insider has your exclusive first looks above!

The mix of cozy and creepy — which stars Alicia Silverstone as Fiona Fox, a crafty L.A. divorce attorney investigating the murder of her estranged father Declan (Jason O’Mara) back in his homeland — debuted last summer and quickly earned its spot as #1 series in Acorn TV history in subscriber acquisition. For those of you who haven’t caught up on the case, we won’t spill what Fiona and sidekick local cop Róisín Doherty (Ruth Codd in a wonderfully off-beat turn) discovered about Declan’s demise, but the curious can find all the info here.

According to Acorn’s release, Season 2 finds Fiona “still reeling from the repercussions of her estranged father Declan’s death, while extricating her mother Mary (Wendy Crewson) from peril at the hands of grifter Callum Deasy (Stuart Graham). As Mary, Fiona and Róisín continue to follow the breadcrumb trail of clues left in Declan’s briefcase, they are swept up in a crime-solving adventure across Ireland.”

In addition to Silverstone, O’Mara, Crewson and Codd, the second season will also see the returns of Leonardo Taiwo as former boxer and Fiona’s budding love interest Musa, Simone Kirby as Declan’s aunt Una, and Dearbhla Molloy as his mum, Isadora.
