Is Rio Alive?

Bad boss Rio (Manny Montana) took matters into his own hands when he kidnapped Agent Turner (James Lesure) for Beth (Christina Hendricks) to kill. Instead, Beth turned the gun he supplied her with on him and shot multiple times before untying Turner’s bindings. As Rio lay dying on the ground, it appeared as though Turner was bargaining with the criminal. In exchange for Rio’s compliance, he would call an ambulance, but fans never see what transpires between the pair. We’re curious if Rio survives or not, and if so, will he be working for the feds next time around?

Will Beth’s New Business Work?

At the end of the episode, Beth reveals to Annie (Mae Whitman) and Ruby (Retta) that she’s figured out a way to counterfeit her own bills, rendering Rio’s old connections useless if she keeps her business to herself. Is Beth the new boss? We have a sinking feeling whatever she chooses next will backfire, considering how secure she seemed. “He’s gone, we’re free,” she said to her sister and best friend before the credits rolled, and it only makes us feel like she’s not out of the woods yet.

Is Turner More Determined to Catch Beth?

Since it seems like Turner could have saved Rio, would that make him more motivated to catch Beth than ever? He said he was going to leave Michigan and take a vacation but wouldn’t answer her questions about what would come next. “Let’s see how you do,” he told her in the kitchen of her home before exiting. In a flashback to the night when Rio gets shot, though, Turner tells the dying criminal, “you know this means you’re gonna owe me, right?” as he offers to call an ambulance in exchange for a deal. Could that deal be to take Beth down?

Are Ruby and Stan in the Clear?

Episode after episode this season saw Ruby and Stan (Reno Wilson) taking more dire actions to try and preserve their family. Every time they seemed to get caught, something else pulled them out of their precarious predicaments. While they appeared to be free in the finale, there’s still a worry that their actions will come back to bite them. Considering Ruby tried to pay for a lawyer with counterfeit money and wasn’t arrested, we feel some consequences could be ahead for the duo.

What Happened to Boomer?

In one of the season’s biggest shockers, we learned that Boomer (David Hornsby) was actually alive and has been hiding in his nana’s attic. He did turn himself into the police, revealing himself to be alive rather than dead, clearing Beth and her girls of any guilt in his suspected murder. But if we know Boomer like we think we do, he’s a shifty character that can spin a lot of things his way, including getting out of trouble for his faked death. Will he return in Season 3, or will he be behind bars? We need to know.

Will Annie and Noah Try to Make It Work?

They may be on opposite ends of the law, but FBI Agent Noah (Sam Huntington) and criminal Annie disregarded this when it came to their relationship towards the end of the season. In the finale, though, Noah mentioned that he may be transferred to Arizona, where his own child lives when the case he was working on fell apart. When she learns he has a kid, she was quiet and contemplative. It’s clear that this pair cares for each other, but will we see them try to make it work in Season 3? Hope wasn’t high at the end of the episode.

Where do Beth and Dean Stand?

Beth and Dean (Matthew Lillard) agreed to divorce by the end of the season, and things were relatively amicable between the pair. In some quieter moments, though, it seemed like things between them were repairing in terms of their relationship. Could they call it off, or will things go back to being ugly when Dean learns about Beth’s business plans?

What’s Going to Happen to Jeff’s Body?

Mary Pat’s (Allison Tolman) husband was buried in Beth’s yard and remained there through the finale — is it going to stay that way? We can’t help but wonder about this major loose end since a neighborhood dog already detected the body by smell. Will Jeff’s body stay there, or will Mary Pat finally give her beloved a proper final resting spot?
