‘CIA’: ‘FBI’s John Boyd Crosses Over & a Funeral in Season 2 Premiere — Get Details
CIA returns for its second season this fall with a tragedy for one of the members of the joint task force with the FBI.
As Season 1 ended, the focus was very much on how CIA Officer Colin Glass (Tom Ellis) was doing with his former partner, Toni (Angela Sarafyan), revealed to not only have faked her own death but to have turned. But by the end of the finale, she was in the CIA’s custody … and likely going to be used by them.
After the finale, showrunner Mike Weiss told TV Insider that Sarafyan would be recurring in Season 2. “She now needs to prove herself to the CIA and then on a human level to Colin,” he added.
When Season 2 picks up, it’s FBI Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) who’s had his life turned upside down.
CBS has released the description and photos for the Monday, October 5, premiere, and in “The Deep,” “When a known cartel fixer arrives in NYC, the team tracks him down and discovers the body of a DEA agent. After it becomes clear the case is not what it seems, the team must work quickly to prevent additional murders. Meanwhile, Bill makes a shocking discovery when he returns to work after the death of his father and the team enlists the help of FBI Special Agent Stuart Scola (John Boyd).”
The images, which you can see below, offer a look at Boyd’s guest spot as well as Colin and Bill back at work and a shot of Breaking Bad‘s Charles Baker (“Skinny Pete” in the AMC series) joining the guest list.
