‘Big Brother’ Season 27 Cast Revealed: A Dungeon Master, Pro Gamer, Bull Rider, Mystery Player & More (PHOTOS)

The Big Brother Season 27 cast has been revealed! CBS announced the lineup of new contestants on July 8, sharing photos of the 16 new faces — plus a mystery player — coming to the house when the show returns this week. In a changeup for the season, the mansion is being called a hotel instead of a house and is taking on a fun new theme.

Big Brother follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with more than 100 cameras and 100 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $750,000.

The theme for the upcoming season is Big Brother: A Summer of Mystery. “Unlock a summer of secrets when the houseguests enter ‘The Hotel Mystère,’ a place where secrets lurk behind every door and nothing is as it seems,” CBS says. “In a season full of surprises, the premiere will be filled with unexpected twists and turns, including a masked visitor, a secret accomplice, and the shocking arrival of a ‘Mystery Houseguest’ whose identity will remain under wraps … at least for now.”

Big Brother Season 27 premieres Thursday, July 10, at 8/7c on CBS. It’s a mystery-themed season is hosted by Julie Chen Moonves and kicks off with a 90-minute opening episode. Another 90-minute episode will air on Sunday, July 13, at 8/7c, and the Big Brother live feeds will also open after this episode airs on the West Coast. The 90-minute episodes resume on Wednesdays after that and exclusive behind-the-scenes access will be available through Big Brother: Unlocked, coming out every other Friday night starting July 25.

Unlocked will feature three Big Brother all-stars who’ll “offer never-before-seen broadcast footage from the house, exclusive interviews, surprise guest appearances, and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access” this season, CBS explains. It will also feature “former Houseguests sharing firsthand insight and expertise as they analyze gameplay, assess the competition, and give their insider’s perspective.”
