‘Walker’ Star Jared Padalecki on His Wife Genevieve Playing His Spirit Guide (VIDEO)
The Padaleckis were on a ski vacation celebrating their 10th anniversary when Walker exec producer Fricke phoned Jared with an idea: His wife, Genevieve, should play Cord’s late spouse, who appears in flashbacks. Fitting, since the pair met when she guest starred as demon Ruby on Supernatural in 2008.
“We’re not the kind of couple that shuts it down when we come home,” says the actress, whose first big TV gig was the ABC Family drama Wildfire (2005–08). “We workshop [our scenes] throughout the day. I don’t know if that’s healthy, but it’s certainly fun for us!” She adds she’s looking forward to learning more about the “altruistic” Emily and the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, which occurs offscreen in the premiere.
Plus, in the video above, Jared Padalecki talks about Emily being his “Patronus,” and praises the other actress in Walker’s life, Lindsay Morgan, who plays Micki Ramirez, Walker’s partner.
