‘Supernatural’ Recruits ’80s Icon Rick Springfield to Play Lucifer

Rick Springfield is heading to Supernatural in a devilish new role, executive producer Bob Singer revealed during the show’s Comic-Con panel.

As Lucifer seeks out a new vessel, he’ll be spending time in a few options…and his best fit is a rock star (Springfield) who is looking to stage a comeback.

Executive producer Andrew Dabb acknowledged it’s a bit tough to find a legit rocker who can actually act, but Springfield fits the bill. He shot his first scene last week, and “he’s doing an amazing job,” Dabb said.
