‘Supergirl’ Jumps from CBS to The CW
Supergirl is flying from CBS to The CW, The CW announced.
The Melissa Benoist-led drama spent one season on CBS (which included a crossover with CW’s hit, The Flash), but the other Greg Berlanti-produced DC Comics series (Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) have called The CW their home.

No word yet on whether production of the series will remain in Los Angeles, or move to Vancouver where the other CW/DC Comics shows are filmed.
Supergirl is produced by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, Andrew Kreisberg, Sarah Schechter, based on the characters from DC Comics.

This is EXCELLENT news! I wondered from the beginning what the show was doing on CBS when the CW has had such amazing success with the genre and considering its audience. The CW is a much better fit and will treat this show with the respect it deserves.

Or The Greg Berlanti network. Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale. 5 hours of programing on a network that does 10 hours a week means he\'s in charge of 1/2 of it.

That\'s Braniac 8. She\'s been in existence quite a while now.

Which is kind of odd, since in the comics, Brainiac 5 was born in the 30th Century. He\'s a super hero, whose main power is his intellect. And he has green skin. And he\'s been in love with Supergirl since they both joined the Legion of Super Heroes when they were teenagers. At least, in the old continuity I grew up with. (Sorry for being a cranky old woman. I still love the show though.)

will they make changes to the show like when Wonder Woman moved from ABC to CBS when they went from WW 2 to the 70s.

I\'m a little disappointed, I thought Supergirl did well on CBS, but I agree it does seem to \'fit\' better on The CW.

If they intend on cutting costs and making budget arrangements, it definitely will not continue to film in L.A. that\'s for sure.

It was confirmed on TVLine.com that production is moving to Vancouver. I hope this doesn\'t mean we\'ll be losing any stars who don\'t want to make the move.

Calista was the reason filming was done in L.A.; however, I read that she has agreed to commute to Vancouver for Season 2.

If they relocate to Vancouver then I don\'t see this being a problem, that\'s the main reason why most of their shows film in Canada, to help save money and put in high quality effects.
