The comedy continues when the Huangs return for Season 5 of ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat.
Set in the mid-’90s, the show follows 12-year-old hip-hop loving Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang) and his Taiwanese family as they move from Chinatown in Washington, D.C. to a very white suburban neighborhood in Orlando, Florida.
Expect more laughs and awkward encounters in the fifth season as this family continues to balance their cultural traditions with the pressure to conform.
Check out an exclusive first look at the Season 5 cast photo featuring the Huang family: Randall Park as Louis Huang, Lucille Soong as Grandma Huang, Forrest Wheeler as Emery Huang, Hudson Yang as Eddie Huang, Ian Chen as Evan Huang, and Constance Wu as Jessica Huang.
The series is moving to Friday nights, along with Speechless‘ upcoming third season, in ABC’s new effort to revamp their comedy block on TGIF. The two series will be followed up with Child Support, a game show series hosted by the TGIF OG Fred Savage (Boy Meets World) and starring Ricky Gervais.
