WATCH: The ‘Roseanne’ Reboot Opening Credits Are Full of Nostalgia
The reboot that seems to have launched many more reboots is nearly here.
In an attempt to quench the thirst of Roseanne fans ahead of the Tuesday, March 27 premiere, ABC has released the show’s new opening credit sequence—and it is amazing.
Even though the comedy has been off the air for more than 20 years, the new opener proves this family is sticking to what they know. At the start of the clip, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and and the rest of the Conners gather around the kitchen table.
The matriarch and husband Dan (John Goodman) sit, surrounded by domestic chaos. The nostalgia is off the charts: Roseanne in her famous chicken shirt, Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) in a ’90s neon sweater, and that famous laugh comes out to play at the end. Whether you were an avid viewer or a fair-weather fan, this clip is sure to inspire some memories.
It also bears a striking resemblance to the Season 1 opening sequence, as the camera whips around the room. What is new is a glimpse at Roseanne and Dan’s grandchildren, bringing the show to present time, which has yet to be explored.
