The Good Doctor

THE GOOD DOCTOR - "Apple" - During a robbery at the grocery mart Dr. Shaun Murphy is shopping at, his communication limitations puts lives at risk. Meanwhile, after Shaun's traumatic day, Dr. Aaron Glassman worries that he isn't doing enough to help Shaun, on "The Good Doctor," MONDAY, NOV. 20 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jack Rowand) ZACHARY GORDON, FREDDIE HIGHMORE

What It’s About:
Freddie Highmore stars as Shaun Murphy, a brilliant surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. Think House with more heart.

Why It’s So Good:
Highmore’s likability, clever medical mysteries and a top-notch ensemble have combined to make this one of the season’s biggest new hits.

That’s Too Bad:
Some of the unconventional cases may cause hypochondria among viewers.

Mondays, 10/9c, ABC

Good Girls

Mae Whitman, Retta, and Christina Hendricks star in Good Girls.

What It’s About:
Cash-strapped besties (Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman) decide to become suburban burglars but must also deal with family woes and guys who just don’t get it.

Why It’s So Good:
The mix of dark comedy, spot-on casting and unapologetic female empowerment makes this must-see TV for the #MeToo era.

That’s Too Bad:
It airs opposite The Good Doctor. Thank God for DVRs!

Mondays, 10/9c, NBC

The Good Fight

Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, Dylan Baker as Colin Sweeney.

What It’s About:
Season 2 of this spinoff of The Good Wife finds Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and the staff of her Chicago law firm on edge after local lawyers start turning up dead.

Why It’s So Good:
Baranski is TV gold and the show boldly takes aim at both sides of America’s current political scene.

That’s Too Bad:
Because it airs exclusively on CBS’s streaming platform, Fight doesn’t have the massive audience it deserves.

Sundays, CBS All Access

 The Good Place

The Good Place - Season one

THE GOOD PLACE — Pictured: (l-r) Kristen Bell as Eleanor, Ted Danson as Michael

What It’s About:
A not-so-nice woman (Kristen Bell) dies and goes to what she thinks is Heaven, only to find out she and her afterlife pals are pawns in a celestial experiment.

Why It’s So Good:
It’s quirky yet accessible with twists aplenty—Season 2 ended with everyone being brought back to life as near-death survivors.

That’s Too Bad:
The first two seasons were only 13 episodes each. Who do we have to fork to get a longer Season 3?

Season 2 just wrapped; available on NBC.com

 Good Behavior

Good Behavior - Michelle Dockery

Juan Diego Botto and Michelle Dockery

What It’s About:
Druggy ex-felon Letty (Michelle Dockery) partners with hot assassin-for-hire Javier (Juan Diego Botto) to save her own skin after she witnesses one of his kills.

Why It’s So Good:
The leads’ chemistry should be illegal, and Dockery shines as the self-destructive con woman.

That’s Too Bad:
Now that Letty’s killed two men, it’s going to be pretty hard to redeem the character.

Season One, available on Hulu
