Nearly 20 years after the original British version of The Office premiered, India is getting their own version.

The Ricky Gervais-created show went on to gain further popularity during its nine-season US adaptation. As for the South Asian version, it won’t feature fan favorite Michael Scott (Steve Carell) but it will star some famous Bollywood actors.

Much like the crew that worked for Dunder Mifflin Scranton, the Indian Office will work for a paper company in the Delhi suburb of Faridabad. The show follows Jagdeep Chaddha, an employee at the company. No word yet on who will play Jagdeep, but the promise of Bollywood A-listers is comforting.

On the heels of this announcement comes the news that India will also have their own adaptation of HBO’s crime drama The Night Of, the original which starred Riz Ahmed and was based on the 2008 British series Criminal Justice.

Both The Office and The Night Of are critically acclaimed in the U.S. , and the talk surrounding a potential Office reboot makes this announcement even more timely. Though the next news we’d like hear about The Office is that they’re rebooting it, right?
