'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Gets Premiere Date on Amazon Prime Video

On Tuesday, Amazon announced that its new series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls) and executive producer Daniel Palladino (Family Guy), will premiere on Amazon Prime Video Wednesday, November 29.

The series stars Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen and Marin Hinkle. It follows the life of Miriam “Midge” Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan), a woman living in 1958 New York City. She has the perfect life: two kids, a great husband, and the perfect Upper West Side apartment, but when she discovers an unknown talent, her life completely turns on its head.

Rachel Brosnahan stars in the series from Amazon Stuidos.

Joe Lewis, the Head of Comedy, Drama & VR, at Amazon Studios, said in a press release, “Amy and Dan have made the rare, special series that’s as funny as it is beautiful. From the direction to the writing to Rachel’s incredible performance, every element is beyond what anyone could hope for."
