Fox Orders John Stamos’ Multi-Generational Family Comedy Grandfathered

John Stamos has another full house–but this time at Fox. Stamos stars in the new Fox comedy Grandfathered, which just landed a series order. Also picked up at Fox: Buddy comedy The Guide to Surviving Life.

The two Fox comedies join Rob Lowe’s The Grinder, announced earlier today,

Grandfathered (formerly titled Grandpa) stars Stamos as a longtime bachelor who suddenly discovers that not only is he a father, but he’s also a grandfather. Josh Peck, Paget Brewster, Christina Milian, Kelly Jenrette and Ravi Patel also star.

Danny Chun wrote and executive produced the show, while Stamos also executive produces with Dan Fogelman. Chris Koch directed the pilot. 20th Century Fox TV and ABC Studios are behind the show.

As for The Guide to Surviving Life (previously known as Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Survivng Life), Fox describes it as “a single camera comedy that celebrates the mistakes and misadventures we all make during the years after college, before settling down.”

Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Justin Bartha and Maureen Sebastian star. Jay Lacopo is the writer and executive producer, while Gail Berman, Bill Callahan and James Griffiths (who directed) are also executive producers. 20th Century Fox TV is the studio.
