The Grinder rests…in peace.

Fox has officially cancelled the Rob Lowe/Fred Savage comedy about a former television actor who returns to his Idaho hometown and joins his family law firm.

The Grinder‘s Tuesday night counterpart, Grandfathered, starring John Stamos as a suave bachelor who forms a relationship with his newly discovered son and granddaughter, will also not be returning to the schedule next season.

Fox has also cancelled the animated series Bordertown, which was executive produced by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.

Grinder was cute, but I think it may go down as one of those shows that was misunderstood or its genius was not appreciated like Arrested Development.

I wanted to watch the two comedies, but there were so many other shows that I liked better that I seldom got around to it. I thought the cartoon was boring.

Hopefully Fox will continue their cancelling ways, and finally put Family Guy down.
