What’s Worth Watching: Can Agent Connelly Dig Himself Out of the Coming Apocalypse?

Dig, “Armageddon Protocol” (Thursday, May 7, 10/9c,USA)

Is tonight the end of the world as we know it? It seems saving humanity from Armageddon will come down to screwed up FBI agent Peter Connolly (Jason Isaacs), a young Hasid (Guy Selenik), an Essene (Assi Cohen), and an adorable calf nicknamed Red.

That’s who’s left to kill the fanatics who want to bring about the End of Days. Cult escapee Debbie Morgan (Lauren Ambrose) was murdered by 13-year-old supposed messiah Jacob (Zen McGrath) and Israeli cop Golan Cohen (Ori Pfeffer) was offed by by Emma Watson (Alison Sudol)—a heretofore sympathetic archaeologist who just did the nasty with Peter. Not to mention the possible final disposal of Peter’s boss and sometime lover Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche).

Since this looks to be the end of days for the USA thriller, we can expect a holy hell of a finale. We do hope whatever happens won’t turn little Red into hamburger!
