What’s Worth Watching: Game of Thrones Enters New Worlds
Game of Thrones, “The House of Black and White” (Sunday, April 19, 9/8c, HBO)
Last week’s season premiere was pretty great, wasn’t it? Fans were reunited with favorites such as Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), who struggled to maintain peace and order over the people of Meereen, and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), who emerged from his travels in Pentos alongside Varys (Conleth Hill). But tonight, we finally get insight into Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) journey to Braavos and the mysteries that lie inside The House of Black and White. We also get our first look at the kingdom of Dorne and quickly discover that the fallout from Prince Oberyn’s (Pedro Pascal) death last season is still resonating amongst his people. But the true hero of the hour is Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who takes a big step forward in his duties within the Night’s Watch as he balances working alongside Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), the Wildlings, and his own men. This epic adventure is only getting bigger.
