John Bradley was lucky enough for one of his first roles to be on the hit "Game Of Thrones" (HBO 2011- ). Not only that, but his role as Samwell Tarly was unique, played with a warmth and humor often absent on the cutthroat show. Born John Bradley-West in 1988, he grew up in Manchester, England. He was obsessed with show business as a child, and his parents supported his dream of becoming an actor. He graduated from Loreto College before attending Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre. His big break came with his role on "Game of Thrones" as the cowardly yet good hearted Samwell Tarly. He landed the part while still in acting school, and he described the experience as overwhelming. Soon after, he landed a role as the young cardinal Giovanni de Medici on "Borgia" (Canal+ 2011-), as well as small roles on the British comedy-drama "Shameless" (Channel 4 2004-2013) and historical fantasy "Merlin" (BBC 2008-2012). He then made the transition to film, cast in a film adaptation of "Julius Caesar" called "Caesar" (2015) alongside his former "Game of Thrones" co-star Sean Bean.
