What’s Worth Watching: Cristela Throws a Party

Cristela, “Fifteen-Something” (Friday, March 20, 8:30/7:30c, ABC)

There’s nothing like a nemesis’ granddaughter’s quinceañera to inspire a family to really pull together. Hernandez matriarch Natalia (Terri Hoyos) forces the whole family to attend her neighbor’s traditional Mexican blowout for girls turning 15, to make sure said nemesis sees exactly how impressive Natalia’s family is. The biggest delight, though, is Natalia badgering Cristela (Cristela Alonzo) to bring work buddy Josh (Andrew Leeds) as a date, giving Cristela a moment she didn’t have at her own quinceañera: a dance with a cute boy.
