What’s Worth Watching: Kiss and Tell on The Slap

The Slap, “Connie” (Thursday, March 12, 10/9c, NBC)

Oh, Hector. The married father, played by Peter Sarsgaard, just can’t stay out of trouble. First, his birthday party barbeque was ruined when his cousin Harry (Zachary Quinto) slapped young Hugo across the face. But Hector was too preoccupied by his infatuation with babysitter Connie (newcomer Makenzie Leigh) to see the event actually occur.

This week, Connie pushes forward with their secret relationship, with the two sharing yet another kiss and Connie proclaiming her love. Connie’s life begins to spiral out of control, hurting her relationship with photographer/best friend Richie (Lucas Hedges), whose storyline will be the focus of the April 2 finale. If Hector’s wife Aisha (Thandie Newton) discovers the truth about this tryst, could another slap be on the horizon?
