Ozark Law is back for Season 3 as police look to handle another influx of wild real-life cases and unexpected calls. The A&E series follows three small law enforcement forces in Missouri’s Lake Ozark, Osage Beach and Sunrise Beach. Each episode spotlights what it takes to protect the peace in the midwestern paradise and the people who come to party at this tourist hot spot.
The quiet haven takes a turn every summer when millions of tourists pile in for all-day fun on the water and late nights at the bars. This proves a recipe for unique scenarios that play out where officers need to step in to handle. During the November 4 premiere, the season just starts to rev up at the Lake of the Ozarks. Memorial Day weekend keeps officers bouncing from a K9 narcotics search to possible break-in, while rowdy crowds put Chief James Boren’s new strategy for The Strip to the test.
Past seasons have seen police have to deal with unruly patrons, confrontations where shots were fired, road rage, drug busts, and some unpredictable emergencies. There was a reason why Netflix greenlit a whole series almost a decade ago called Ozark with Jason Bateman and Laura Linney surrounding this unique destination.
TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek ahead of the craziness to come. It spotlights how the area’s population of just 7,564 is flooded with tourists and visitors. When you factor in that it was America’s 250th birthday, there is another level of excitement and challenges for those in uniform to maintain control. Not to mention that it was also the 60th anniversary of Lake Ozark.
There appears to be never a dull moment during the warm months for these small but mighty crews. One scene shows an officer discovering methamphetamine with another holding a 40-caliber handgun. The brave men and women and K9s definitely has their hands full. They were usually outnumbered, but share a special bond and dedication to their profession. The clip sees the police looking to apprehend a black bear.
We’ll have to watch how this game of hide and seek plays out. Another part sees the police looking to rescue someone from a turned vehicle. Cut to a person appreciative of their effort, giving an officer a hug and show of appreciation for the work they do. It’s all about celebrating the small victories while also recognizing the fact they need to keep their head on a swivel. Just another day in paradise.
