‘NCIS’: Katrina Law Is Just as Excited as Fans About Mark Harmon & Michael Weatherly Reunion

It’s a good time to be a fan — especially a longtime fan — of NCIS, and one of its stars is among them! The OG duo, Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly, are reuniting onscreen in the Tuesday, October 20, episode of NCIS: Origins, and when Katrina Law stopped by TV Insider’s office to talk all things Knight and the mothership, we had to ask if she’d been able to watch any of it being filmed since it is on NCIS‘ set.

“No, I actually had no idea,” she admits. “I just found out that they’re going to be in the show together, and I think that’s so cool because I was one of the original NCIS fans. Back in the day, I used to watch it with my dad.”

And so she’s just as thrilled as the audience.

“Seeing that the franchise is kind of coming back together in this really cool, organic way is just amazing,” she adds. “And I’m really excited to see the two of them on screen together.”

Over the summer, it was announced that Mark Harmon is in all 10 episodes of NCIS: Origins this season as well as that Michael Weatherly is back for NCIS Season 24 in a major arc. The first two episodes of both series revealed what’s keeping both around. Harmon’s Gibbs is shot in Alaska, and now he’s trying to figure out who and why — and who’s the “one to go” that was mentioned by one of the people who found him at his cabin. He needs Tony’s help to access a file because he’s now NCIS’ director.

Teasing this reunion, Origins executive producer David J. North told TV Insider, “There is not an NCIS fan alive that is going to want to miss this [episode].”

He also shared, as part of our digital cover story, that having Harmon filming on the NCIS set again “felt surreal, incredible, hard to put into words. It was like coming home. Mark is amazing in those scenes. The fans are going to lose their minds.”
