What To Know

  • Amy Robach is turning down job offers unless they include her fiancé T.J. Holmes.
  • She was reportedly considered for the Inside Edition anchor role but did not take the job.
  • Robach and Holmes were fired from ABC News in 2023 after their relationship became public.

Amy Robach is reportedly fielding job offers but will only accept them if she can work with her fiancé and former GMA3: What You Need to Know cohost, T.J. Holmes.

According to Page Six, Robach was in talks to join Inside Edition, taking over from Deborah Norville, who left the show in 2025. “She was the frontrunner,” an insider told the outlet. “They really wanted her, but it didn’t work out.” The role ultimately went to Robach’s former ABC News colleague Eva Pilgrim.

An official reason wasn’t given for why the Inside Edition gig didn’t work out, but another source told the publication that Robach has turned down job offers because Holmes wasn’t involved.

“She was offered many jobs but kept declining because T.J. wasn’t getting offers,” the source claimed. “She wanted to do something with him.”

Robach and Holmes were fired from ABC News in January 2023 after their romantic relationship was publicly disclosed. The couple later shared that they were both in the middle of divorces from their respective partners when they started their relationship.

“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” ABC News President Kim Godwin said in a statement at the time. “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Since leaving ABC News, Robach and Holmes launched their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J., in 2023 and have produced over 2,000 episodes to date. In the podcast’s early episodes, the couple discussed the ABC firing and relationship scandal.

Robach criticized the network for how it handled the situation. “I was excited to go to work and put this behind us, and we each got a phone call from our bosses saying they made the decision to temporarily take us off the air to let things die down,” she shared in a December 2023 episode.

“I remember I said, ‘Please, no, if you do this, this is going to create a whole new round of articles… please don’t do this. If you’re going to make an announcement to the rest of our colleagues, can you at least acknowledge that we have not violated company policy?'” she recalled.

Robach continued, “That was the compromise I reached, but I was sick to my stomach because I knew what was coming once that announcement was made.”

Holmes added, “We are the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other, and that is the bottom line.”
