Tarek El Moussa & Christina Haack Surprise Daughter With Ultimate Early Birthday Gift

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack got an early start to their daughter Taylor’s 16th birthday celebrations.

The former spouses, who were married from 2009 to 2018, share Taylor and their son, Brayden. Haack remains close with Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, whom he wed in 2021. The couple welcomed their son, Tristan, in 2023, while Haack welcomed her youngest child, son Hudson, with her second husband, Ant Anstead, in 2019.

Ahead of Taylor’s 16th birthday next month, the co-parents surprised her with every teenager’s dream gift. “Just another dad-daughter driving lesson until…” Heather wrote over a Thursday, August 13, Instagram video of Tarek giving Taylor driving tips in an empty parking lot. As the pair wrapped up their lesson, Haack and Heather pulled in with a car decorated with a pink bow.

A shocked Taylor hugged Haack, Tarek, and Heather before hopping into the vehicle to give it a spin. She later posed for a photo in front of the car with her parents and Brayden.

In the post’s caption, Heather wrote, “What’s more of a surprise… the car for Taylor or the fact that the three of us actually pulled this off? The car is so well deserved, we love you so much Tay.”

Fans gushed over Taylor’s birthday surprise in the post’s comments. “Isn’t it a great feeling to be able to get your child something that maybe 20 years ago, you could barely afford for yourselves,” one user said. “You all worked SO hard for this. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to provide well for your loved ones….and Kudos to you all for the great co-parenting.”

Another added, “Y’all have this coparenting thing really figured out, I wish my parents were like that for me. Your kids are very lucky, I love this for them and y’all too.” Someone else shared, “Awww her reaction. not to mention my reaction! Been watching her since she was on her mamas hip. Congratulations Taylor on your new car! Be safe! @christinahaack.”

A different person posted, “I love how everyone is so happy. We need more of this kind of coparenting for all our blended families.” A separate commenter stated, “I love that she is genuinely touched and surprised. Seems like yall are raising a grounded kiddo.”

In addition to teaming up for the birthday surprise, Tarek, Heather, and Haack are all currently working on Season 2 of HGTV‘s The Flip Off. Heather recently confirmed that production is still underway nearly a year after filming began, and that she and Haack will not team up against Tarek in the new episodes.

“Will you team up with Christina?” a fan asked Heather in an Instagram Story Q&A earlier this month. She shut down fans’ hopes of a Season 2 partnership with Haack by writing, “No. I think you’ll definitely love a major twist that is in this season though. None of us saw this coming.”

In another Instagram Story post, she teased, “Let’s be real, [Christina and I] always up to something together! You’ll have to wait and see this season.”
