Nancy Guthrie is still missing after her abduction in Tucson, Arizona — and the FBI reportedly returned to Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom’s Catalina Foothills neighborhood six months after she went missing.

In an article published on Thursday, August 6, a neighbor told Fox News Digital that she saw the FBI return to Nancy’s home to search through the desert brush behind the house. The sighting reportedly happened days before the investigation hit its six-month mark on August 1.

A Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said that task force investigators had not recently returned to the neighborhood. However, the neighbor, who lives a few homes down from Nancy’s residence, claimed to have recognized faces from earlier law enforcement activity. The FBI has not publicly responded to the report, as of writing.

On August 1, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared an update on Nancy’s case, revealing that investigators are sorting through “literally tens of thousands” of videos. He explained, “What happens daily is the team looks at these videos and really they’re just kind of compartmentalizing them.”

“We’re not even close to these leads being dried up,” Nanos added, vowing, “We’ll continue to work them, and even if they all dried up and we had nothing else to go on, we have a cold case unit.”

Meanwhile, Savannah echoed these sentiments in an Instagram post featuring a photo of her 84-year-old mother and a “desperate” plea.

“We will never stop looking for answers — and we will never stop looking for the light,” the NBC journalist promised. “We will always be hoping and praying and believing in the best of our world — in spite of circumstance. This is what our faith makes possible. Please. Bring her home.”

Nancy was last seen at her Tucson home on the evening of January 31. As of writing, no suspect has been named in the case despite Savannah’s $1 million reward and investigators releasing images of a masked suspect and two alleged ransom notes.
