Scandal

Twitter was an absolute wreck last night, and it was all TV's fault. Why the epidemic of viewers getting the vapors? It may have had something to do with the hyper-emotional series finale of weekly sob-fest Parenthood, or the high-stakes, high-stress return of Shonda Night (with did-that-just-happen?-laden premieres for Scandal, Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder.) Here, witness the #drama in all of its primetime hysteria.

Parenthood got off to an early start:

And it was all down hill from there:

Dax Shepard (who plays Crosby on the show) and wife Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) made the most of their tears:

Meanwhile, Grey's Anatomy was up to its usual tear-jerker tricks with departing characters and unborn babies in peril:

Scandal was high-anxiety, and apparently Olivia Pope in danger is a national health crisis:

How to Get Away With Murder returned, with Viola Davis in full effect:

It's possible there was a lot of yelling at television screens happening:

And some idle threats:

Deep breaths, everyone. We'll all be ok.
