Meanwhile, Season 4 finale director Matt Lipsey stirred up some questions among fans when he referred to the installment as the “final episode of this wonderful series” on X. Could Season 4 really be the end? Fans will have to wait and see, as a Season 5 greenlight has yet to be given.

Since then, Sudeikis spoke on the podcast, Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, where he said he “would like to” do more seasons of Ted Lasso, but admitted, “it takes a village.” Despite other reports about a writers’ room, Sudeikis also clarified, “We haven’t started a writers’ room or anything like that,” but added that he believes Apple is open to continuing the series.

Ted Lasso‘s fourth season tracks the coach’s return to England as he helps usher in a new phase at A.F.C. Richmond with the women’s team. We’d anticipate Season 5 carrying on that phase of the story as Ted and company foster the talents of a new team.
