Is the theme song makeover permanent?

The Season 4 finale debuted a new iteration of the Ted Lasso theme song as Brandi Carlile lent her vocals to a more stripped-down acoustic version. While it fit the tone of an episode following a death as shocking as Mae’s (Annette Badland), it also makes us wonder if it’s an indicator of a new chapter as the series reshifts its focus even more to the women’s team moving forward.

Are Ted and Henry going to keep living at the pub?

It was revealed during the shareholders’ meeting for A.F.C. Richmond that Baz (Adam Colborne), Paul (Kevin Garry), and Jeremy (Bronson Webb) had retained ownership of The Crown & Anchor pub after Mae’s death, meaning they’re likely the new landlords for Ted and Henry. After Mae’s death, Henry worried they’d be forced to leave, but could the new ownership also be a sign of change for the father-son duo moving forward? We’d be interested to find out.

How will Ted and Alice's new dynamic work?

In the finale’s closing moments, Ted spoke to Rebecca about his position as the Manager of the Lady Greyhounds, and it was ultimately revealed that he asked to be Assistant Manager, leaving the lead job open for Alice to be promoted. Considering Ted’s mostly been used to leading teams, it would be interesting to see how his new gig unfolds and what Alice’s dynamic is with everyone else as she assumes the head coach gig.

Is Keeley staying with Richmond?

Roy (Brett Goldstein) announced his plans to leave as he was offered the head coach job at Chelsea, but does that mean Keeley’s (Juno Temple) leaving too? We couldn’t imagine A.F.C. Richmond without the marketing expert who has continued to devote her time and passion to the franchise. Plus, with a baby on the way, we’d be eager to see how Keeley juggles her dual roles as both mom and badass career woman. Talk about some serious girl power.

Could Rebecca have a wedding next season?

Rebecca proposed to her pilot boyfriend Matthijs (Matteo van der Grijn) after she decided she wanted to make the leap. Despite his initial shock, there was an enthusiastic acceptance on his behalf, and the pair shared a sweet kiss. Does this mean Season 5 could have a wedding in the works? It would be a fun prospect that would bring many characters together, no doubt.

Is Zelda done working with Richmond?

Zelda (Tracey Ullman) was called out for trying to buy A.F.C. Richmond’s majority shares, but she was outsmarted by Rebecca and Higgins (Jeremy Swift), who were able to secure control. Even after her scheme, it appeared as though Rebecca had forgiven Zelda, but was it enough to keep the eccentric woman on Richmond’s payroll? It’s a lingering question we’d like to see answered.

Who will fill in for Roy?

Roy revealed that he’d taken a new role at Chelsea, but would finish the season at A.F.C. Richmond. Does that mean a new head coach for the men’s team is lurking around the corner? Or could an old favorite return to take the position? Only time will tell, but without Roy on staff, A.F.C. Richmond is bound to feel a little different.

What's next for the Lady Greyhounds?

After a viral video helped sell out Richmond’s stands for the final game of the Lady Greyhounds’ season, we are curious to know where they’ll take their passion next. While Season 1 of the series set a clear path for Ted and the team, Season 4 left the women’s team’s goals more open-ended. Hopefully, should the series continue, there will be a more defined set of ambitions.

Will Ted learn about Alice's prank?

Throughout Season 4, Ted’s chair kept shrinking down, and he complained that it kept happening despite it being new. It turned out that Alice was responsible for the long-running prank, which revealed to the audience that the serious coach does have a knack for jokes. Will her secret remain or be exposed if the show returns for Season 5? We wouldn’t mind if the mystery lingered a little longer.
