Ready to dive into the world of American Gods? Then you’ll be happy to know that Shadow Moon, Mr. Wednesday and all the characters you love from the award-winning Neil Gaiman novel of the same name will be making their debuts on Starz on Sunday, April 30 at 9/8c. The key art (pictured) for the ambitious series from producers Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) and Michael Green (Blade Runner 2049) was released today along with the premiere date.

The highly anticipated series about a war brewing between Old Gods and New—with a unique spin that comments on society and the preoccupation over fame, money and power—picks up when ex-con/widower Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) meets con man Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). The two men then begin a journey of trying to build and army of Gods.

As previously announced, the world premiere of the series will be held at SXSW on March 11 at the Austin Convention Center, followed by a Q&A with Fuller, Green, Whittle, McShane and fellow cast members Emily Browning (Laura Moon), Pablo Schreiber (Mad Sweeney), Crispin Glover (Mr. World), Yetide Badaki (Bilquis), Bruce Langley (Technical Boy), Orlando Jones (Mr. Nancy), Betty Gilpin and Jonathan Tucker.
