The fallout from Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) defection from Forrester Creations to Logan will send shockwaves throughout The Bold and the Beautiful, with consequences that extend far beyond Hope herself.

“It has fallout for so many different characters,” says Noelle. “It’s going to impact many people on the canvas going forward and how those relationships are going to evolve. So, it didn’t feel like it was just about me. It feels like it’s a point of evolution for many characters on the canvas, and for Hope to be the supporting beat in that makes me really excited. I look at it that she’s helping bring Katie’s [Logan Spencer, Heather Tom] vision to life.”

For Noelle, one of the most rewarding aspects of the story has been watching her castmates explore those ripple effects. “I love being able to watch everyone else play,” she enthuses. “Heather Tom and Katherine Kelly Lang [Brooke Logan Forrester] are like watching two masters at play, and the fallout is going to be a spectacular display of fireworks.”

The repercussions will be felt across virtually every corner of the canvas, with each character responding in their own way. “The reverberations are felt throughout,” Noelle previews. “You’re going to see it impact multiple characters across the board, and their different reactions. It impacts Zende [Forrester Dominguez, Delon de Metz] very differently from how it impacts Deke [Sharpe, Harrison Cone] from how it impacts Brooke from how it impacts Ridge [Forrester, Thorsten Kaye] and Eric [Forrester, John McCook]. To see how each character processes this differently, whether they’re viewing it from a place of empowerment and, ‘Good for you, it’s about time,’ versus this being the ultimate betrayal, is such a fun thing, and I can’t wait to watch the air shows and to watch the work of everyone else on the canvas. There are such juicy things coming from this fallout.”

While the move represents a fresh start for Hope, she won’t walk away without regrets. Chief among them is leaving behind her Hope for the Future design team. “That’s one of the hardest things for Hope,” says Noelle. “The team she loves and cares for. To save yourself, do you abandon them? I think Hope just got to a point where she just felt like she broke, like she couldn’t do it anymore. But one of the parts that broke her heart the most was what it means for Zende.”

The decision also creates a deeply personal conflict between Hope and her mother, Brooke, while forcing Hope to confront feelings she’s kept bottled up for years. “I don’t think Hope has been managing her emotions quite well,” points out Noelle. “I think maybe we need to call up Hillary Bailey Smith [Dr. Stacy Burton] and get her to the therapist again. I think Hope has just been suppressing and internalizing a lot. I feel like there’s been a lot that she hasn’t been able to express in order to just survive working at Forrester, and we’re going to see that emotional toll really hit her. She’s basically envisioned every worst-case scenario, which has only led to more anxiety and more apprehension and more self-doubt; that is going to finally come to a head.”

Despite the turmoil, Noelle hopes the storyline ultimately marks a turning point for Hope.  “I’m really excited about the storyline because I’m really hoping that it solidifies her coming into her own,” notes Noelle. “I think so much of her has been looking for validation in others, so what I’m hoping is that this is the breaking point for her to finally stand in her strength and in her decisions and not doubt herself or question herself so much.”

From Noelle’s perspective, Hope’s evolution has been years in the making. “As her portrayer, I wish she didn’t have to learn the hard way so much,” Noelle allows. “I wish she would just have the confidence to make a decision and believe in herself. But for me, it’s been really fun. I think it is very interesting because sometimes you’ll see there are a lot of new viewers and they won’t necessarily know the past that Hope struggled with, like anxiety pills or the tumultuous history with her and her mother, so any time I get a chance to reference that history or to have that be what informs the character and those decisions, it’s always so rich to play when you have those layers and you have those depths.”

Where Hope goes from here remains to be seen, but Noelle believes her alter ego has reached a defining moment. “She’s at a crossroads,” observes Noelle. “I think there’s kind of been an infantilization of Hope, kind of handling her with kid gloves and a bit of self-victimization at times. So, it kind of comes down to, ‘Are you truly going to step into your own as an adult, as someone with that fortitude to withstand the naysayers, to withstand the strife and the criticisms?’ I’m really hoping this is a new chapter for her and a new iteration of her. I think it’s good. I think we need to cut some of these codependencies and have her just be self-confident.”

The actress is also thrilled about the storytelling opportunities the shake-up creates. “It’s just so exciting for the entire canvas, having the two rival fashion houses again,” says Noelle. “I think it makes sense and it’s so much fun. It leads to so much story potential for a multitude of characters and it affects so many people on the canvas. I can’t wait to see where Brad [Bell, executive producer and head writer] goes with it.”

They don't have security at Spencer publications.

Brooke should have been banned from there a long time ago.If I were Katie i would never forgive her for calling me a stealer. And what's up with Brooke slapping her slap back sister.

I like Will and Electra together but she really needs to grow up.

And please just get rid of RJ the guy is not cute at all and can't act.

And for Eric man up he's the one that went to Spencer now he's wanting pitty for them using his designs talking about betrayal.Donna is to good for him.

Love Bill so glad him and Katie got back together beautiful couple.Way to go Hope and stand up for your self.

The actors have been outstanding in their portrayals on Bold and the Beautiful. I hope that when Steffy confronts Hope, and you know she will, Hope will Finally stand up for herself. That smug look on Steffy's face should be wiped off it. So glad that both Katie and Hope had such a wonderful show.

I surely hope that the writters ,let Hope tell her Mother what a Terrible job she did as a Mother!Hope needs to tell Brooke that she Only Ever Cared about Forrester and how she Never really cared about her daughter.

Brooke was a Terrible mother ,she slept with all her daughters husbands and slept with her sister husband.Brooke ,Ridge,Steffy are self center people.I don't like any of them. Please bring the Forresters Down!! Send Ridge and Brooke on a NO return trip!!

Electra needs to grow up. She says she loves Will but she didn't understand why he didn't tell her about the new goings-on with his job. Why he didn't tell her that goes without asking the question. For instance if he told her then what? Why did he have to tell her when she asked him he said in so many words he couldn't. Now she feels betrayed just like Brooke feel betrayed. If either one of them would open their eyes it's just business and that means loyalty goes to the business.

I think the Forresters should get what they deserve. They need to be brought down to their over confident self centered knees. Zende needs to jump ship too. I wish the writers would let Katie or even Hope slap the stars out of Brooke SFTV sums it up. She finally knows how it feels to be hurt.

Well first I'd like to say the Hope Diamond was cheapened by the black choker! Since the diamonds were sitting in silver, the chain should have been silver as well maybe a thicker chain to hold the diamond however gold on dress with silver on diamonds, no !

I was ready to stop watching B&B if they prolonged that indecisiveness of Hope one more time on whether or not to go with Logan or stay with Forresters!

Come on now Brooke's part, first off, she has nerve to call out Hope after all the stuff she's done!

Next-- old Steffy, I am so sick of her privileged attitude. Just take her off the show!!

Before that I want her to get big time problems concerning her kiss with Liam plus any new problem for her. Can't tell you how I hate these programs that have the bad, selfish, conceited people on who always come out free & clear of any consequences of their actions! Steffy has plenty!!

Here we go again, a disruption between Will & Electra. Getting sick of Electra & her attitude, she works for a fashion house & knows there are secrets when it comes to clothing & jewels, so what's her problem?

Great seeing Wyatt back on the show! Will, Wyatt & Bill are such great looking guys !!

Probably the reason I'm still watching !! Love Eric & Katie too !!

I agree with you, that black choker did cheapen the look even though the theme color of the fashion show was black and matadoeresque. I would have loved to see Hope with a stylish updo the whole "out of the shower" look was only pulled off due to her beauty. I do hope that Hope stands up for herself against her mother and all of the Forrester's with their smug arrogance and has the confidence and pride in her new creative director role at Logan. You go girl. Eric will be fine although he's in complete denial about offering to design for Logan. Zende will be fine. Immature Electra will be fine, she'll break up with Will and Dylan will be his shoulder to cry on, then RJ will be jealous or go after Electra. I can't say Brooke will be fine. She's gone off the deep end and her marbles have rolled right off with her. Sorry. Not sorry. She plays a terrible sister and mother although I do enjoy her acting. Brooke and Katie have been giving us explosive fireworks lately and it's time Katie puts her in her place! TEAM LOGAN!

Electra is too damn needy I am so sick of them people and whoever writing their story they is so damn destroyed and needy this is what they do to the story Brooke is like a spoil bitch..

It's so sad how she put the fosters first before everybody every time she put them people in front of everybody in her family she is just a nasty nasty person I wish y'all take her out the story!!

She slept with the whole story she nasty why you got her there she too needy her and Electra two to Damn needy!!

The fans of bold and beautiful are getting sick and tired of Hope keeping her mouth closed and looking silly like a little girl when she needs to stand up for herself as a Woman and tell Brooke where to go. Hope has a right to start her career with Logan since Steffy will never give Hope for a future line to Hope.

I am so glad that Katie let Brooke have it. Who does Brooke think she is? She slept with her sisters husband . She is a total hypocrite. And never stood up for jer own daughter to Ridge and Steffy. Hope gave her an opportunity and she failed and then seduced Ridge. Thrilled Hope has finally found her voice and moved on.

Brooke needs to get over it but Hope needs to use your voice to remind Brooke of the many times she turned her back on Hope as she continuously and desperately begged for Ridge to choose her. Not a good role model and now she wants to act like “mother of the year”? Give me a break. Brooke needs to accept that Hope is a grown woman with her own family and be a positive role model for her own daughter.

I think it was a big mistake to bring Denise Richards to the show with here shirt sleezy skirt. I know she doesn’t want to get old, but she should accept the aging process. Facelifts?????

I am so happy for Hope... Finally. She has made mistakes , but she has also been bullied at Foresters. Go Katie. They came to her , but she's the villain. Eric knows that he went to Katie. Now he's embarrassed for getting revenge on Ridge. It's his company. Brooke needs to look harder in the mirror.
