Nancy Guthrie Update: Sheriff’s Department Announces Arrest Outside House

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department hasn’t announced any arrest in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, but the department did announce the arrest of a YouTube personality outside the Guthrie house near Tucson, Arizona.
“On June 11, 2026, just before 5:00 p.m., deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) arrested 54-year-old Alexander Zabel Jr. in front of Nancy Guthrie’s home,” the department said in a media release posted on X on Thursday. “PCSD had received several complaints regarding Mr. Zabel’s behavior. At the time of the incident, Mr. Zabel was live-streaming from outside the residence.”
The PCSD added that its deputies made contact with Zabel, and a sergeant was knocked to the ground during the arrest process. Zabel also used a homophobic slur in reference to one of the officers, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
“Mr. Zabel was subsequently taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex,” the PCSD added. “He is facing charges of resisting arrest (Class 6 felony) and public nuisance (Class 2 misdemeanor).”
Zabel, who runs the CriminalNetwork YouTube channel, was also arrested three days earlier on suspicion of obstruction of a highway or thoroughfare and public nuisance, along with two other YouTubers, according to a sheriff’s department report the Daily Star cited.
The department has also announced stricter enforcement in the neighborhood following complaints from neighbors.

In another recent development, volunteers working with the Buscando Corazones collective in the Mexican city of Nogales searched for remains in a stream near the Mariposa Port of Entry at the Mexico-Arizona border, according to KPNX. The leader of the collective said she received an anonymous tip claiming Nancy’s remains were buried in that area.
The PCSD responded to that news on Thursday, saying on X, “We are aware of reports regarding an anonymous tip related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation that was provided to a group in Mexico. At this time, we have not been contacted by Mexican authorities. This investigation remains active and is ongoing, and we will continue to follow up on any credible information.”

He has every right to ask what he is arrested for. You just can’t arrest
someone. This was excessive and abuse of power. A scary world because this could happen to anyone.

Im sure they told him, we just didnt see it. But clearly he was resisting. Also, he may have been trespassing. Ive seen enough of these types of videos where the one being cuffed swears they didnt do anything wrong and question why they are being arrested. I dont trust alot of these videos youtuber's are putting out. Videos can be manipulated.

This is what I was thinking about... It doesn't say he was on the property and if was not on the property how could they even make an arrest or really even approach someone for recording, filming, taking pictures, etc. in a public area? People can complain all they want but if it's a public area there is really nothing the police can do. I am just curious what type of probable cause or whatever reasonable suspicion they had to even approach someone in a public setting? I can understand the community and neighbors being upset about all of the attention, but he is not the only person recording or filming or asking questions in the area. It's kind of a big deal right now. Why single this person out?

Doesnt seem like you read the article because it saif others were arrested as well because they were causing a disturbance/being a nuisance. If you are in a public place (on sidewalk/in street), but misbehave, i.e. being loud, loitering, etc, then yes you can be approached and arrested if you dont leave or behave.
The neighbors have every right to call the police (not saying it is or isnt right) and they have to show up. That is the reason why the police are approaching the person. From there, they need to get their probable cause.

I have watch every hr footage of Alex .This is false information. He didn't urinate.in public.he wasn't resisting. And certainly hasn't trespass. standing on a public easement is legal.i don't know what is worse this false so called journalism are the corruption that's taken place.This is just been done to make people who kept this story in the now honestly look bad This article isn't honest. Someone shoudk tell them filming in public is not a crime so what did he do lets all go out to her house now an film they can't make stricter rules for a neighborhood if its in public we can record it. Thes cops got there but hurt when theu asked hom to leave and he refused to theu tried to arrest him too bay unlawful deaintment and false arrest. Will make sure anything he did will ve thrown out if the original contract was bs they lost everything along with their qualify immunity. We need to get these bad cops off the streets

It's a pretty big deal when the mother of a reporter who was reporting on child sexual abuse gets kidnapped and possibly murdered. Every such crime is tragic, but this is obviously meant to intimidate or punish reporters for exposing powerful people for committing heinous crimes against children.
