What To Know
- Scrubs star Zach Braff previews what’s to come in this season’s final episodes, including character returns.
- He teases the arrival of the Janitor and Jordan, as well as the return of Dr. Cox and Carla.
Scrubs‘ revival is well underway on ABC and delivering plenty of laughs along the way with JD (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and more favorites back onscreen.
And Braff is teasing more shenanigans to come as he tells TV Insider, “I want to be blatant because the fans are clamoring, and let everyone know that that Doctor Cox is coming back, he’s in both [Episodes] 8 and 9.” Fans will recall that JD’s mentor and Sacred Heart Hospital’s Chief of Medicine, Doctor Cox (John C. McGinley) handed over his role before seemingly retiring.
But there are more comebacks on the horizon, as well as Braff teases, “the Janitor is in the finale, Jordan — Christa Miller — is in the finale. Judy’s back,” he adds of Reyes’ return as Carla. Meanwhile, Neil Flynn‘s return as the Janitor and Miller’s reprisal of Jordan were previously teased, but fans have yet to see them onscreen.

As fans of the show will recall, the Janitor was JD’s nemesis at the hospital after getting off to a bad start when they first met. Meanwhile, Jordan was Dr. Cox’s love and a member of the hospital board. Perhaps a board meeting is what will bring her back into the mix? Only time will tell.
“We really go out with a big bang in [Episodes] 8 and 9,” Braff continues. “There’s a bunch of surprises and a bunch of reveals, and I think fans are going to be, really, really happy with the way we close out the season.”
