Chuck Norris died at the age of 86 on March 19. Less than two weeks after his 86th birthday, he experienced an undisclosed medical emergency and was hospitalized in Hawaii. His family announced his death on Instagram.

“While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the family’s statement said.
