Find Out When ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Returns for Season 2
Get ready for more wild calls and music: 9-1-1: Nashville is coming back for more — and with a new series regular in Ryan Phillippe to bring the cop element to the spinoff just like its predecessors.
ABC has set its fall premiere dates, and 9-1-1 and its spinoff are among the latest, returning in October. Read on for everything we know so far about 9-1-1: Nashville‘s future, from the cast (including more details about Phillippe’s character) to that premiere date and more.
When does 9-1-1: Nashville Season 2 premiere?
9-1-1: Nashville is staying in its 9/8c slot after the original on Thursdays, and the new season kicks off on October 15.
Who’s in the 9-1-1: Nashville cast?
9-1-1: Nashville stars Chris O’Donnell (as Don Hart), Jessica Capshaw (as Blythe Hart), Kimberly Williams-Paisley (as Cammie Raleigh), LeAnn Rimes (as Dixie Bennings), Hailey Kilgore (as Taylor Thompson), Michael Provost (as Ryan Hart), Juani Feliz (as Roxie Alba), and Hunter McVey (as Blue Bennings).

Joining them is Ryan Phillippe as “a brilliant, iconoclastic detective who moves to Nashville from New York,” according to the character description. “A seductive bad boy with a past, he’ll stir up all kinds of juicy drama with our first responders while leading an investigation into a mysterious criminal tormenting Nashville on a biblical scale.” It’s also a “multi-year deal” so we know we’ll be seeing him more than we did on Big Sky.
What’s 9-1-1: Nashville about?
This is the third series in the franchise, after the original and 9-1-1: Lone Star (which aired for five seasons). The official description for 9-1-1: Nashville describes it as “a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.”
How did 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 end?
Don agreed to sleep with Dixie to keep her from releasing her next diss track about Blythe, then decided not to — but his ex delighted in informing his wife of his plans, and the finale ended in the middle of their fight.
“We will pay it off in Season 2, but we may make the audience wonder a little bit for a while about exactly what happened, how injured everybody was, and what happened after,” showrunner Rashad Raisani told TV Insider after the finale. “So, we’ll do a very small time jump in Season 2, but allow people to kind of wonder and then answer the question about what happened.
What’s the status of 9-1-1?
The original series was renewed for its 10th season on the same day Nashville got its pickup.

I hope and pray to God that Det. Elias Kane (played by Mr. Ryan Philippe), will leave my Baylor (Blue and Taylor), alone while he's doing his job as a new Nashville's police detective in the upcoming sophomore season of 911: Nashville (late 2026 - mid 2027)! 🙏🏿 💖☺️

R
I'm super excited to see more about Baylor's beautiful romantic relationship and Taxie's cute friendship in season 2! 💖

And then, like the whole entire 118 firehouse crew members in the upcoming 10th season of the OG 911 show, the whole entire 113 firehouse crew members will grow their original hairs back in the fall, winter and spring! 💯🍂☃️🌼 And they'll go with their brand new longer hairstyles during the 2026-2027 period! 💯❤️🔥🤩 And again, that's my theory and prediction for the Nashville offshoot's upcoming sophomore season! 💯💖😁

Next up, it's going to be Luke James' turn to join the 911 universe family as one of the newest series regulars for 911: Nashville's upcoming sophomore season and other future seasons who could play Taylor's 3rd-eldest brother in the large gospel musical family of 10 singing children and a heroically well-versed but morally compromised police officer with a deeply traumatic past! 🙏🏿💜😁

911 Lonestar was a better show. Not sure why they cancelled it.

And once again, Luke James is going to be next to join the 911 universe family as one of the newest series regulars for 911: Nashville's upcoming sophomore season and other future seasons (2026-present)! 🙏🏿💜😁 And his upcoming character arc will be certainly known as the 40-year-old "pansexual" family man from New Orleans/Atlanta (primarily born in Baltimore), who happens to be the 24-year-old Taylor Thompson's 3rd-oldest protective, dedicated, lovable, genius and incomparable brother in the large gospel musical family of 10 beautiful singing children (7 sons and daughters : early 1983 - late 2001), a former inspiring rhythm and blues musical artist, a former united states army national guard soldier, a former morris brown university student, a former publix supermarket worker, a 2-decade heroically well-versed but psychologically wicked metropolitan nashville police department officer with an emotionally disturbed background and a villainous crime boss of the music city's most dangerous drug game! 💯❤️🔥😁 And that's the end of my theory and prediction for the show's upcoming sophomore season and other foreseeable future seasons (2026-present)! 💯💖☺️

So yes! 💯, in the next season of 911: Nashville, the whole entire 113 crew members will debut their brand spanking new "bald by choice" looks and the new light blue firehouse uniforms with the exact name for a very hot summer!! 🥵🌞 And then, the 113 firehouse crew members will return to their original longer hairstyles from the late-summer of 2026 to the mid-spring of 2027! 💯❤️😁 And that's my excellent theory and wonderful prediction for the next season of 911: Nashville! 💯💖☺️

And like the OG 911 cast members for their upcoming 10th season, the Nashville offshoot cast members will stop filming their upcoming sophomore season in mid-April of 2027! ✨

And just like the whole entire 118 firehouse crew members in the upcoming 10th season of the OG 911 show, the whole entire 113 firehouse crew members will begin to show their brand spanking new "bald by choice" looks and their new light blue firehouse uniforms with the same logo for a very hot summer!! 🔥⛱️ And that's my excellent theory and prediction for the Nashville offshoot's upcoming sophomore season! 💯💜😁

And Detective Elias Kane also has a very silky smooth clean shaven face (especially for a very hot summer)!! 🔥⛱️

Time for Blythe to kick Donnie to the curb. She has stood by him, but Bitxie will never leave Blytge alone. She doesn't want to be part of the family; she wants DonDon. Dixie is more trouble than she's worth, so let her have Don and let Blythe find a new hot guy!

Mr. Ryan Phillippe's new character name is "Elias Kane"! 💯❤️🔥☺️ He's a NYC area maverick police detective who relocates to the music city (Nashville, Tn., USA)! 💯❤️😊 And he's also known as the "sexually fluid" loverman with a very shadowy origin! 💯💞☺️ And he also sports his military induction buzz cut too!! 💯❤️🔥🪖💈

Just like the OG 911 cast members for their upcoming 10th season, the Nashville offshoot cast members will be back to filming their upcoming sophomore season on Monday, July 20th, 2026! ❤️🔥And it'll be officially premiere in the mid-to-late fall of 2026! ❤️🔥

And as I'd already mentioned before, right after Mr. Ryan Phillippe has already been casted, my hopeful concept and excellent fan casting prediction is to have "The Chi"'s actor and a grammy-nominated soulful singer-songwriter Luke James join the 911 universe as one of the newest series regulars for "911: Nashville"'s upcoming sophomore season and the other foreseeable future seasons (2026-present)! 🙏🏿💜☺️ You see, his future portrayal will be certainly known as the "pansexual" married fellow who happens to be the 3rd-oldest protective brother of the 113 firehouse crew's princess, Taylor Thompson (played by Ms. Hailey Kilgore), in the large gospel musical family of 10 amazing singing children (7 sons and 3 daughters : early 1983 - late 2001), from the country (originally from the DMV area), a former r&b superstar, a former us army soldier, a former college student, a 2-decade veteran metropolitan nashville police department officer with a deeply traumatic past (who also happens to be a villainous street gang leader of the notorious drug ring) and a tennessee state convicted inmate! 💯❤️🔥🤩 And that's my interesting fan casting prediction! 💯💖😁

R
And besides Mr. Ryan Philippe, it'll be Luke James' turn to join the 911 universe family as Taylor Thompson's 3rd-oldest pansexual protective brother in the large gospel musical family of 10 children (7 sons and 3 daughters), from New Orleans (initially from Baltimore at birth), who happens to be a thoroughly practiced but extremely crooked cop and a big-time gang leader of the music city in the next season and the other foreseeable future seasons of 911: Nashville! 💯❤️🔥🤩

R
New directions, new adoptive looks, new relationships, new musical features, new dramas, new faces and many more! 💯
-
R
And according to my excellent theories and predictions, in the 1st episode of 911: Nashville's sophomore season (2026-27), Mr. Ryan Phillippe's new character arc will debut his new zero-guard military induction buzz cut and his clean shaven face for a very hot summer!! 🔥🏝️ And the whole entire 113 firehouse crew members will debut their brand spanking new clean shaving heads and their new light blue firehouse uniforms with the exact name for a very hot summer too!! 🔥🏝️

The making of 911: Nashville's upcoming sophomore season, officially starts on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026! 💯 And according to my hopeful predictions, it'll be officially released by ABC, on Thursday, November 12th, 2026! ❤️🔥 Same date as the OG 911's upcoming 10th season and Grey's Anatomy's 23rd season on the 12th day of November 2026! 💯 And it'll ends on Thursday, May 13th, 2027! 💯 And that makes 18 episodes total! 💯
-
R
And after Mr. Ryan Phillippe joined the cast, it's going to be Luke James's turn to join the 911: Nashville family as Taylor's 3rd-oldest brother in the large gospel musical family of 10 singing children and as a 2-decade veteran heroic nashville cop for its next season and later seasons! 💯
