ABC has announced its fall 2026 premiere dates, and its primetime lineup all kicks off on Tuesday, September 15.

And that night is the one that features the biggest change for the 2026-2027 lineup. The network has moved High Potential to the midseason and slotted in R.J. Decker into its time slot, airing after Dancing With the Stars, on Tuesdays. Dancing With the Stars, which has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program (its first nod in a decade), will have a two-night premiere, with the second on Wednesday, September 16.

Monday nights will mostly belong to Monday Night Football, simulcast with ESPN. The first one is on September 14, with the Denver Broncos facing off with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Both Scrubs and Shark Tank will have two-episode premieres on Wednesday, September 30. The rest of the network’s scripted lineup will premiere on Wednesday, October 7 (Abbott Elementary) and Thursday, October 15 (9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy).

ABC, in addition to High Potential, is holding The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, Shifting Gears, The Rookie, new spinoffs The Rookie: North starring Jay Ellis and The Untitled Grey’s Anatomy one (set in Texas), and Will Trent for the midseason. Celebrity Jeopardy! had previously been announced for fall but will now return in 2027.

ABC is making a huge mistake by holding its best show, High Potential until January. As far as network dramas, in my opinion, it’s one of best shows on prime time television.

I suspect ABCS agrees and that they want to place a weaker show after DWTS to help it catch on. ABC knows "High Potential" doesn't need a DWTS lead-in anymore and that they can build their schedule around it in January.

High Potential should be chosen. RJ Decker is boring.

Other shows should be eliminated do to the fact boredom too! For Example, Scrubs.

    Good shows as follows:

    911 & 911 Nashville

    High Potential

    Grey's Anatomy

    Will Trent

    The Rookie
