Space: 1999 first blasted onto television screens on September 4, 1975, bringing viewers a mysterious and haunting vision of life beyond Earth. The series — which took place in a future where the Moon had been blasted out of orbit in the year 1999, and the 311 inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha were sent out into space — ran for two seasons and made an impression as one of the most stylish British sci-fi shows of the decade.

Though it only lasted until 1977, the series developed a cult following that continues to this day. Many of the stars have since passed away, but a few familiar faces are still with us. Here’s a look at who is still alive from Space: 1999 and what they’ve been up to since their days on Moonbase Alpha.
