‘One Piece’: Luffy Romances Dreams, Pirate Life, and Adventures at Sea in Final Trailer
Netflix has revealed the final trailer for its upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece. The visuals above introduce Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy and his dream to become King of the Pirates. It also features shots of Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, all of whom makeup Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates.
The footage from the trailer begins with Luffy asking, “I’m gonna find the One Piece; it’s Gold Roger’s treasure, he hid it somewhere on the Grand Line.” After Nami tells him the whole thing is a myth, he simply replies, “I can’t wait to see your face when we find it!”
The story of the anime series follows Monkey D. Luffy on his quest to find the legendary fabled treasure One Piece and become King of the Pirates. But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.
“If the path seems too easy, then you’re on the wrong path!” Luffy says before proclaiming, “don’t let anything get in the way of your dreams.” The trailer then ends with several shots of the hijinks, battles, and excitement we’re to expect from the series. Check out the video in full above.
