Freeform’s Shadowhunters is off and running with its sophomore season and the team is coming up against new challenges that clearly will get worse before they get better.

If you’re caught up on the first two episodes of the new season, you know that Jace (Dominic Sherwood) is still in the clutches of his villainous father, Valentine (Alan van Sprang), while the rest of gang tries to save him. For Clary, she may be coming into her new powers as a Shadowhunter, but she’s facing new challenges.

TV Insider recently sat down with Sherwood and McNamara to talk about what we’re going to see in the coming episodes; just how bad things are going to get for Jace; and just who Clary may be leaning on now that Jace is (at least for now) out of the picture.
