Villanelle’s 10 Most ‘To-Die-For’ Fashion Moments on ‘Killing Eve’
Killing Eve will conclude after its fourth season, and we’re already in mourning. Not just for the loss of the “cat and mouse” game between Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), but also for the loss of Villanelle’s wardrobe.
Few fictional characters are dressed as sharply—or luxuriously—as the psychopathic assassin. Whether she’s wearing designer suit sets, flowy dresses or hospital scrubs, Villanelle knows how to make an outfit work…and her closet is simply to die for. Here is our countdown of her 10 most iconic looks.
10. The “On the Other Side” Outfit (Season 2, Episode 3)

Villanelle has a vast array of power suits, but this blazer by Chloe, which she paired with metallic pants and a purple-pink blouse, was both sleek and unique. If we’re honest, it was also a little bit funny—only V could not only un-ironically don a horse print, but also somehow make it work.
9. The Dance Hall Suit (Season 3, Episode 8)

Another suit…but one very different from the others. By Halpern, it features bold prints and a psychedelic, ‘70s-inspired pattern. It sure looked great on under the lights when V and Eve had their emotional meeting in this episode.
8. The Blue Floral Dress (Season 3, Episode 2)

There’s a reason why fashion label The Vampire’s Wife sold this piece under the name “The Villanelle Dress”: It’s that iconic. Pairing bright florals with a blue background, it made for an eye-catching piece as V marveled at her lavish new apartment.
7. The Superhero Pajamas (Season 2, Episode 2)

On the very opposite end of the spectrum from the rest of Villanelle’s high-end designer closet—these PJs, which the assassin acquired before she snuck out of the hospital (in Crocs, much to her horror) early on in Season 2. Even when she can’t choose her clothes, the bold patterns and bright colors choose her.
6. The Billie Kimono Jacket (Season 2, Episode 6)

All of Villanelle’s “Billie” outfits were spectacular, but her thorough command of jackets in a rainbow of hues was a standout. She wore this piece, by Etro, on her “date” with Aaron Peel (Henry Lloyd-Hughes).
5. The Yellow Coat (Season 3, Episode 8)

V stood out from the crowd—and the tan and gray monotony of the Bitter Pill offices—in this oversized sunshine-yellow coat by Loewe. Later, she’s seen wearing it during the fateful bridge scene where she and Eve almost, but not quite, say goodbye for good.
4. The “It Matches My Bruise” Jacket (Season 1, Episode 2)

…or rather, V explained away her bruise as wanting her face to match her look. This brocade bomber jacket from Phillip Lim is one of the more understated pieces of her style, less flashy and more “everyday”-looking than many of her suits and dresses. But the floral pattern and puffy sleeves give it personality, as do the pink sweatpants it’s paired with. And what do you know? Her smoothie matches everything, too.
3. The “Mourning Eve” Outfit (Season 2, Episode 5)

“Can I take your veil?” Eve asked the dressed-to-the-nines Villanelle, who showed up on her doorstep in a flowy black Alexander McQueen gown, ready to kill her. Thinking she was going to “be in mourning soon,” V certainly decided to dress the part.
2. The Kill Bill Suit (Season 1, Episode 3)

The most powerful of Villanelle’s power suits, this set by Dries Van Noten is burned into many a fan’s memory. After all, it’s the outfit the assassin was wearing when Bill caught her, preventing her from getting on the train and meeting Eve…and, unfortunately, it’s the outfit she wore when she killed him. Worth a mention is her elaborate braided hairstyle, which just completes the deadly look.
1. The Pink Dress (Season 1, Episode 2)

To think of Villanelle’s iconic fashion is to reflect on this neon pink sheer dress by Molly Goddard. Others come close, but there’s simply no outfit of hers that outdoes it. It’s ostentatious, showy and screams luxury, just like V herself; and the scene in which she wore it (the famous “psych eval”) is one of the show’s best.
